This Elasto-Gel Cold/Hot Cervical Collar Wrap maximizes conformance, heat transfer and comfort. Use cold or hot; retains temperature for 20 to 30 minutes. Made from flexible Elasto-Gel. It may be heated and/or cooled repeatedly. Generally flexible and smooth. Heating in the microwave or in a conventional oven. Cooling in freezer.
Difference between Polycotton and Lyca Cover:
The Polycotton and Lycra cover looks similar, and they are the exact same gel. The Lycra cover has a four-way stretch Lycra with a loopback so the Velcro strap can stick anywhere on the collar, making it a custom fit. Lycra cover is a four-way stretch Lycra which makes it easier to get the cover off for washing. In addition, Lycra offers better hot-transfer and cold-compressing capacities than any other material available today. The two-way stretch cotton cover is a protective Polycotton Cover. There is a tiny patch of Velcro on the main cover. This is the only location where Velcro straps can be attached to prevent slippage.
Products made of Elasto-Gel are designed to provide moist heat therapy or soothing cold therapy to alleviate minor bodily and joint aches. The hot and cool therapy may last a total of 20 to 40 minutes per session. The product is held in place by a hook and loop closure system, enabling the user to move during therapy. This product is microwaveable, so it offers nearly-continuous warmth procedures. When used cold, it conforms to contours, even at -20 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 degrees Celsius), allowing for comfortable soothing cold applications.
