The AM4116ZT (polarized) model is designed to reduce the effects of glare and to help eliminate "hot spots" from highly reflective surfaces and providing uniform illumination to bring out more surface detail with minimal glare. AM4116ZT allows the user to turn the eight built in LED lights either on or off with a conveniently located button on the scope providing the user with the flexibility to adapt and correct for various lighting conditions. The Polarizing system can be switched on/off or can be adjusted to offer full or half polarization, providing the versatility required for use in the Dermatology - Skin or Scalp check, for diagnosis, cosmetic, follow up, hair loss treatment, etc. The Dino-Lite Premier AM4116 Series VGA direct model is a versatile handheld or stand mounted microscope designed to satisfy a wide range of microscopy requirements without the added computer or television monitor.

This model uses the H11 housing which is the second generation housing for the Dino-Lite that incorporates: improved magnification dial movement for smooth and easy adjustment and focusing with the Dino-Lite, a scroll lock feature for assuring desired set magnification/focus, and a cable strain relief (SR) that holds the Dino-Lite and its USB Cable together for greater resistance from pulls and twists.
