Pro-Tech Night Splint is designed to be worn during inactivity (sleeping). The Pro-Tec Night Splint gently stretches the plantar fascia ligament, promoting flexibility. By increasing flexibility of the plantar fascia ligament, the likelihood of further strain or tearing is decreased, enhancing the healing process. This product can be used to treat conditions such as tearing, excessive stretching, or inflammation.
When used as a general application, the Night Splint will alleviate pain in the arch and heel area. Using the product in a medical application will help relieve symptoms of plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. In addition, it may relieve symptoms of personeal and tribial nerve entrapment. The design is a lightweight polypropylene shell that is covered with terrycloth. The velcro ankle straps hold the heel stable deep into the cup portion of the brace.
Directions for Use:
Detach all straps and while sitting, place your foot into the Nigh Splint.
Press the heel down into the brace's heel area and attach the ankle strap by pulling it across the top of the ankle, feeding the strap through the plastic loop and pulling until a comfortable compression level is reached, and reattach in front of the ankle with the Velcro closure.
Wrap the additional straps over the foot and lower leg to continue with the firm comfortable compression level, attach with Velcro.
The toe wedge may be placed onto the toe area of the brace (underneath the slip cover) if a greater degree of dorsiflexion and increased stretch is required.
Use only during periods of inactivity or sleeping.
