Elastogel Hot/Cold Therapy Mitten is the ideal therapeutic hot or cold application for relief of minor muscular and joint aches and pains. Ideal for arthritis pain relief for the hands. Comfortable mitt fastens at the wrist with one hook and loop strap. This particular model is not designed for use with chemotherapy as it only stays cold for approximately 30 minutes.
Cleaning Instructions
Remove the outside cover and wash the external layer in cold water and light soap. Allow the product to thoroughly air-dry before you use it for treatment.
Cooling Instructions
Place the mitt in the freezer for at least two (2) hours. It may be stored in the freezer indefinitely, especially at temperatures of -20 degrees F. Take out the mitt prior to defrosting your refrigerator. Keep in mind that the item should be stored in a plastic bag while in the freezer.
Heating Instructions
Microwave ovens are the fastest and most convenient means of heating the product. Recommended heating times, using a 600 to 700 watt microwave, are between 60 and 90 seconds each side, whereas 1100 watt microwaves run for 60 seconds each side. Wait for one minute (60 seconds) before using the product. The product should feel WARM to the touch, NOT TOO HOT. Keep the product firm against the skin for at least 30 seconds before reheating. If the product is not warm enough, heat in 30 second increments and rotate the product from time ot time.
Do Not Get the Products Wet
The gel will absorb water and swell. If the product becomes damp, lay it on a flat surface and allow it to fully air dry before continuing use. Do not use wet towels under the gel.
