The Pressure Reduction Wheelchair Cushion by Chattanooga Group is intended primarily for use with wheelchairs. The cushion is made to accommodate the buttocks and thighs while creating maxmimum pressure relief on the bony prominence. The pressure distribution is created by a layer of gel on top of a layer of foam with a Ventex Recovery 5 cover. The pressure in the pad is controlled by a unique air valve which allows the support pressure to be varied. This enables the patient to maximize their position and comfort.
