The Bauerfeind USA CaligaLoc is an innovative stabilizing ankle brace that serves to protect and stabilize the ankle joint. The ankle support is effective at protecting the upper and lower ankle while giving torn ankle ligaments, associated with a high or lateral ankle sprain, the chance to heal. The CaligaLoc helps to reduce lateral loads to the ankle, and serves as an ankle brace support during the day and a protective splint when worn during the nightime in bed. The CaligaLoc also provides support and protection to post operative ankle surgeries once the patient has transitioned from using a walker for immobilization to more controlled weight bearing with ambulation.
